Enjoyed our experience today with Miss Cindy as our host. Many improvements since our last visit six years ago. Neat appearance and well maintained property. Our 3 and 5 year old grandchildren are still talking about their morning exploration of the cave. Animals were a big hit also. Highly recommend for adventurous younger children.

"Explore A Pirates Cave"

The   Pirates Caves!  is a historical property located in the Bodden Town.  One of the first discovered and settled property in the Cayman Islands.

The property is under a new ownership from 2018, being inherit to the youngest son Ian Bodden and wife Cindy Bodden, of Mr Spencer Bodden" the founder of the Historic Pirates Caves as an attraction in 1,963.

We are thrilled to  share with you , we have completed renovations and we  are now  ready to offer you and your  family, a unique Pirates  Historic Legendary  Safe Fun experience, and a small mini zoo.

Our office/ticket booth  location is on the address provided on the page, once coming from the airport/George Town and  you reach Bodden Town and pass Esso Gas Station, look out to see  see a big mural of our children and Pirates coming down the stairs to the cave.
(this mural is on the left side of the main road) We are accepting walk-ins and pre bookings.

We offer you,  a underground cavern exploring, suited for adults and children, where notorious pirates, it is said! would hid, eat, sleep and hid their treasures around the 1,630-1,750s. We provide you exploring gearing i.e helmets and flashlights.

In the top property you  can admire a few small collections of animals and a fish pond with  baby gold fishes, couple hickatees(fresh water baby turtles) and a small fresh water shark best known as a cat fish.

It is a self guided tour,  and there is no limited time. We do  highly suggest, you wear proper shoe wear.

We have installed precautions signs, a brand new exit  a few light bulbs for families with small children, and a small wishing well. The cave don’t have an estimated time, it all depends how much you want to explore.

The Underground Pirates Caves haves a few tunnels where supposedly the legend says,  The Pirates would hid their treasures ,  If you are an adventurous person you are welcome to explore them as well, if you only want to explore the underground caves by walking it  is also a great experience to take with you.

We do know the Caves we’re a secret hidden location for the Pirates and for their treasures.

The Pirates had a belief!
Every time they would hid a treasure they would either kill one of their man or leave a man behind  so the ghost would protect the treasures.

We have certainty that not only Blackbeard and his ships pilladge and plunder the Islands, Neil Walker, Edward Low, George Lowter and Roy Bodden and many more,  also pillage  this historical Underground Pirates Caves.

The price for  exploring is $20.00 for  12 years old and above, and $15.00 for children under 12 years old.

We are currently only accepting cash as payment until further notice.

The Underground Pirates Caves haves a few bats- note these bats are fruit bats, only eats fruits or mosquitoes.
They could only make the experience more exiting!

We are trying to keep our Father Spencer Bodden" the original owner and founder of the Pirates Caves legacy and passion alive . He is sadly missed but not forgotten.
